Spring Rain
Lyrics
SPRING RAIN
Words and music by Carlene Thissen, Copyright 2009

When weakness / overcomes / my goodness
And sorrow / is a black dress / that I wear
Lord, I turn / to you / for forgiveness
Amazed / every time / that you're still there

Let the rains / wash down over / me
Like morning / clouds / and early dew
That water / the fields / for planting
Then raise / me up to be / with you

CHORUS: Wash away my tears, wash away my pain, Like the spring rain
Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain.

Through my own / faults and selfish ways
I keep doin' things / I know I shouldn't do.
'Til I'm not even / sure who I / am these days.
Still you gently / call me back / to you.

CHORUS: (You) Wash away my tears, wash away my pain, Like the spring rain
Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain.

BRIDGE:
Wrap me in your arms
And away from sin
Remind me to remember
How hard it's been....... Without you

CHORUS: (To) Wash away my tears, wash away my pain, Like the spring rain
Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain.

VERSE 4

Let me live / in service / and sow
Seeds of peace / in the warm / fertile earth
For the harvest / of joy / that you promised
The blessed gift / of love / and new birth

CHORUS: Wash away my tears, wash away my pain, Like the spring rain
Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain.
Like the spring rain, Like the spring rain... (Tacit - slow) Like the spring rain.
